First week.

Pottery shown is Samiam , information is as follows.
ALBVCANUS (2) Production area LEZOUX.
PERIOD : 140- 190 AD.
The first week of our current excavation at Walberton has not progressed as well as we would have liked, mainly due to the wet weather.
Today Sunday we had to abandon the site as it was far too wet to do any work, so a day lost, but even if the rain stopped we would not have been able to get on site till later in the day.
The first week pictures of the site are now up for you to look at, descriptions will be added as soon as possible. Click this link to view all the photos.

Parham Park excavation.

Early results of the trails are sugesting that perhapes the village was not as large as being reported by many recorders over the years.
The geophysics results are confusing , and more interpretation is needed to try and understand them.
There has been an interesting find, this being a tomb lid, period 15th century, and a part of the early floor of the church, this contains holes where it has been suggested the rood screen would have been
